The cornerstone was laid in 1844 and the church was built in classical Greek & Gothic styling with original black walnut paneling & furniture still in place in the sanctuary. Behind the sanctuary is a remodeled apartment or meeting space with a generous living/bedroom area, full bathroom, full kitchen, & laundry. Newer furnace. Steel added under the west side of the sanctuary in last 5 years. Grace Church is on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service of the Dept of the Interior.
